A Jungle Gypsy Paradise Retreat in Ubud, Bali

A Jungle Gypsy Paradise Retreat in Ubud, Bali

We were met with warm smiles and a cool breeze upon arriving to our first stop in Ubud, Omah Apik. Their staff is incredibly kind and welcoming. We dropped our bags in the main area and were given a quick tour of the grounds. Just wow. You're surrounded by lush vegetation and the property overlooks a sprawling rice terrace. You can't escape the tranquil sounds of running water (you don't want to) and there are cozy little nooks and sitting areas scattered across the grounds for guests to soak in the peaceful surroundings.

3 Reasons Sedona Should Be on Your 2017 Travel Bucket List

3 Reasons Sedona Should Be on Your 2017 Travel Bucket List

While most people who visit Arizona head to the Grand Canyon (which you should definitely do if you haven’t already), there’s a lesser-known gem located just about 5 hours south… a quaint, super artsy, postcard picturesque town called, Sedona.

Sedona has been getting a quite a lot of press lately. And after visiting, I get why. Don’t Worry, Be Happy Now - My Essentials For Living A Stress Free Life

It's hard to believe its almost been a year since I left behind my corporate advertising and PR job to launch my full-time freelance photography career. Things certainly haven’t been easy, and I probably work even harder, longer hours than I was before. But I absolutely love every minute of it, and that’s what makes all the difference. Not to mention, I’m much happier and healthier because I get to focus my energy on things I enjoy doing.

Paris Photo Journal

Paris Photo Journal

I had a couple of days to explore Paris in-between travels this past summer. I spent my time exploring with old friends and new. Here's a glimpse of the streets I wandered and sites I saw.

And here's a few of my favorite places worth checking out if you're in the city, even just for a night or two:

For a healthy, light meal + fresh pressed juice go to Wild & The Moon in the Marais district.

To get a beautiful view of the city at sunset without crowds of tourists head to the top of the Galeries Lafayette rooftop.

If you're looking for a cozy, quaint restaurant with the best fries + burger in town Ferdi is where to go! Just make sure you get a reservation beforehand.

À bientôt, Paris!

EXPECTATIONS

EXPECTATIONS

One valuable lesson I’ve learned from my travels is to let go of all your expectations before visiting a new place. In a world with endless travel blogs and beautiful Instagram travel photos it’s easier now than ever to get caught up on the “must see” and “most Instagram-able” places. If you build expectations in your mind for these places and they are the only things you take time to see, you don’t leave room for the unexpected.
